Job Purpose / Role

The Senior Project Manager Finance Transformation at Allianz Direct is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and delivery of complex projects aimed at optimizing and expanding reporting capabilities across the organization. 
 

This position requires a deep understanding of data analysis, data visualization, and KPI reporting while integrating business processes to enable data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will synthesize complex information into actionable insights, ensuring alignment with Allianz Direct’s strategic objectives. With a focus on operational excellence, this role involves strong project management skills, collaboration, and hands-on implementation of tools like Jira, Confluence, dashboards, and presentation software.

In addition to traditional project management, the Senior Project Manager will lead efforts to drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, performance metrics, data visualization, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring all initiatives support the broader strategic objectives of Allianz Direct. This role also requires overseeing the development of high-quality reports and data solutions that are actionable and business-critical.

 

Key responsibilities:

  Project Planning & Execution

Lead the planning and implementation of multiple medium to high-complexity projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of project objectives. Track project progress using appropriate project management tools and provide guidance and support to the project team to maintain alignment with deadlines and goals. Manage and optimize the project workflow, regularly reviewing task flow, prioritizing the backlog, and conducting stakeholder check-ins to ensure smooth execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Identify and address project issues, risks, or delays promptly, facilitating timely resolutions and ensuring that project milestones are met.

 Continuous Improvement & Reporting Process Optimization

Identify and implement opportunities to enhance reporting processes, improving efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness across teams. Leverage insights from key performance indicators to drive actionable improvements and ensure that reporting processes are scalable and adaptable to changing business needs.

Performance Metrics & Process Development

Define, track, and report on KPIs to measure operational and organizational performance, ensuring alignment with Allianz Direct’s goals. Lead the development and continuous improvement of reporting processes, ensuring they support operational excellence and meet the needs of all stakeholders.

Data Visualization & Report Development

Oversee the design and creation of insightful, visually compelling reports and dashboards that communicate critical metrics clearly and effectively. Implement and coordinate advanced data visualization solutions, utilizing cutting-edge tools to enhance accessibility and strategic value for stakeholders.

Stakeholder Communication & Strategic Alignment

Communicate complex data insights and project updates in a clear and actionable manner to diverse stakeholders across the organization. Ensure that all reporting and analytics projects align with Allianz Direct’s strategic vision, supporting informed decision-making and overall business success. Stay up to date with emerging reporting tools and technologies, integrating innovative solutions to enhance reporting capabilities and improve team efficiency.

 Compliance & Security

Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company standards while safeguarding sensitive data throughout the reporting and project management processes.

 

 

Qualifications/Key skills:

 

Experience: At least 10+ years in data-driven roles involving KPI tracking, process optimization, data visualization, reporting, and analytics. Project Management Expertise: Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders in an international and cross-functional setting. Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to analyze processes, identify improvement areas, and synthesize complex information into actionable insights. Technical Proficiency: Understanding of IT systems, data integration, and high-level architecture. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for delivering clear, concise messages to diverse audiences. Collaborative Leadership: Ability to drive alignment across teams and foster collaboration in dynamic, multicultural environments. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong plus. Adaptability: A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for staying updated on the latest trends in reporting tools and data analytics. Education: Relevant degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or Data Analytics are advantageous.
