Senior Project Manager - High Voltage Power

Prysmian is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage several projects simultaneously primarily located in the U.S. The Senior Project Manager will be located near Plaquemines Parish, LA for 2 - 4 years and then become remote to manage the project work that can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Job Responsibilities:

The typical project workload would consist of between 2-4 active projects.

The projects typically entail the underground installation of high voltage and extra high voltage cables and accessories ranging from 69kV up until 345kV.

Involved during the bidding phase but is often directly responsible to manage the onsite labor and/or supervisors and ensure a safe job completion delivered on schedule and under budget.

Update project schedules in MS Project.

Monitor and update project budgets. Identify, resolve, or escalate operational problems and minimize delays.

Provide project estimation and site supervision.

Multitask several projects and change order tracking and implementation.

Ability to travel up to 75% of the year or as needed.

Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project.

Oversight for weekly payroll.

Job Qualifications:

Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management with either transmission or distribution

Must have included high voltage (69KV-400KV) underground cable manufacturing or installation experience; technical education relating to electrical transmission; partial discharge measurements and the basic theory of partial discharge; working safely in energized and de-energized substations; effectively multi-task complex dynamic projects; accurately monitor financial projects status of multi-year multi-million dollar projects including 3-6 month long projects with install values of up to $750K, 6-18 month long projects with install values of up to 1.5M, and 18 month + projects with install values greater than $1.5M.
