Role Summary:
The Industrial Capital Project Manager will lead and manage capital projects from inception to completion.
This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing budgets, schedules, and resources, and ensuring that all project objectives are met.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering, project management, and a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
Responsibilities:Project Planning and Initiation:Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersDevelop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategiesConduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support project proposalsProject Execution:Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other professionalsMonitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standardsImplement and maintain project management tools and methodologies to track progress and performanceStakeholder Collaboration: Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and regulatory authoritiesPrepare and present project status reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issuesFacilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverablesBudget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and efficient resource utilizationNegotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure necessary resources and servicesMonitor and approve expenditures, ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and schedule adherenceAdminister change management principles in alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) established for the projectRisk Management and Compliance:Identify and assess potential project risks and develop mitigation strategiesEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocolsConduct regular audits and inspections to ensure project adherence to quality and safety standardsProject Closure and Evaluation:Oversee project completion, ensuring all deliverables are met and final inspections are conductedConduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvementPrepare final project reports and documentation for review and approval
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Agricultural, Industrial, Civil, or Construction Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.PMP (Project Management Professional) or willingness to obtain certification is desirable.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing large-scale industrial capital projectsStrong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressureStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of industry-specific regulations and safety standardsAbility to work with multiple Engineering, EPC and General Contractor companies executing under a variety of contractual methodologies
Working Conditions:
The role may require travel to project sites and extended hours to meet project deadlines
