Senior Project Manager I –  Marshall, MN or Columbus, NE 

Position Summary:

This is a salaried, exempt-level position reporting directly to the Capex Regional Manager with oversight for projects in North America.

Job Purpose and Impact:

The Senior Project Manager (I) will partner with the business areas and key cross-functional ADM stakeholders to manage expectations for project scope, schedule and budget, as well as to receive buy- in for project implementations while leading a team of professionals to execute on various project initiatives. 

In this role, you will ensure high-quality work for projects greater than 12 million dollars with high financial impact and significance.

Key Responsibilities:Define project scope and plan the delivery of projects according to a roles & responsibility matrix. Execute the project, including costing and implementation according to the Front End Loading (FEL) guidelinesAssuring monthly project reporting to the stakeholders through FEL, execution, commissioning, and capitalization and closureScope change and risk management escalation processesComplying with local legislation and ADM requirements for permitting, safety legislation, quality assurance, HACCP, GMP, Hazop as well as TPS policySupporting and driving contractor safety through the use of preventative action plans and safety metricsAssure that the safety and reliability of existing equipment is maintained during project implementationCoordinate the team development of all necessary documentation for commissioning, training, maintenance and maintain all records required by legislation and policiesCoordinate and provide direction to contractual partners for project execution including the use of a well maintained work breakdown structureSetting up project structure and coordination with project steering committee according project governance guidelinesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably in combination with project management engineeringMinimum of 7 years managing several industrial projects of moderate to extreme complexityExperience working with cost engineering and key performance indicatorsKnowledge of industrial process project planning and scheduling with multi-craft trades, “S” CurvesKnowledge of and experience with industrial process project commissioning means and methodsKnowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera or other resource loaded scheduling toolsKnowledge of enterprise management systemsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent interpersonal English fluency communication skills, written and verbalPreferred Qualifications:Experience managing projects within the agri-processing sectorAbility to work with EPC, EPCM companies executing under a variety of contractual methodologiesExecution of multi-year projects experienceExperience with execution on revamp, brown and green field projectsKnowledge of SharePoint Excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
