Senior Project Manager - Information Technology - ERP
Job Summary Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Coordinates project team from inception through completion and execute corporate planning and project management. Develops new systems, techniques and procedures for automated planning systems, reporting, issue resolution, risk management and budget tracking. Acts as senior representative for Project Management Center of Excellence. Reviews plans and schedules of other participating functions for compliance with the master schedule; resolves scheduling and inter-functional conflicts Participates in or leads daily, weekly or monthly meetings. Reviews to track and report project status, identifying deviations or adverse trends. Interfaces with upper mnagement. Reviews project business case to ensure accurate costs and internal labor are identified. Ensures approval of business case and present to governing body. Mentors, supports and develops associates and processes within the project management area Supports internal department training through instructional opportunities. Work Environment Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Minimum Qualifications Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable Education and Experience Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field; certification is required in some areas or MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas. Preferred Qualifications Experience of CMM| and or |T|L preferred Hands-on experience working on ERP systems as an analyst, architect, or PM Experience managing ERP conversion projects by effectively creating and executing project plans and driving results across team members Knowledge of EDI concepts and standards Ability to act as a scrum master for IT projects Utilization of both Agile Scrum and Waterfall project management methodologies Excellent leadership, change management, and vendor management skills Proactive risk and issue management skills to ensure expected project outcomes are achieved on time and within budget, scope and expected quality Experience in wholesale distribution industry a plus About Core & Main Based in St. Louis, Core & Main is a leading distributor of water, sewer, storm drain and fire protection products in the United States.
