Summary
The Senior Project Manager Pharmacy and Lab leads and manages multiple complex projects and teams across the continuum of care in all facets of healthcare operations demonstrating a significant return on internal investment. They serve as an internal consultant to administration by providing expertise in lean six sigma, process improvement, and change management. The Sr Project Manager trains departmental and organizational employees, as well as leaders. Project work includes system implementations, process improvement studies, data analysis, work system analysis that result in improved efficiencies, reduced costs, and improved employee/customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions
Creates project plans and facilitates project teams to complete process improvement projects.
Utilizes Lean Six Sigma methodology to improve processes throughout the organization.
Gathers data through time/motion studies, check sheets, electronic data pulls, online surveys and/or benchmarking other hospitals and organizations.
Enters and analyzes data in various ways to determine trends and identify root causes.
Converts data into usable format and dashboards for administration and management to make informed decisions and track process changes and performance.
Develops creative solutions to problems associated with processes throughout the hospital; presents these solutions to appropriate staff, management, and administration.
Works with organization leadership, specifically senior leadership and executive administration, to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve job and/or customer satisfaction.
Schedules meetings, compiles meeting minutes, tracks follow up actions, prepares project management documentation, develops reports and dashboards for milestones and report outs to customers.
Develops communication, education, and training plans/materials on projects and process improvement tools/methodologies to be used for training and change management.
Trains all levels of the organization in the effective application of process improvement tools and methodologies; facilitates project communication and change management; trains and mentors internal department employees.
Leads functional areas and departments in review of all current and proposed projects for prioritization discussions with leadership.

Licensing/Certification
Six Sigma certification - American Society of Quality (preferred upon hire, required within one year of hire)
Education
Bachelors (required)
Masters, Business Administration or related field (preferred)
Work Experience
5+ years' experience facilitating business process improvement, process re-engineering, process design and/or Lean/Six Sigma projects OR 3-5 years in a management position (required)
Experience using Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Process Mapping, Measurement System Analysis, Time/Motion Studies, Statistical Data Analysis, 5S, Kanban, Standard Work, FMEA, Control Charts, Mistake Proofing, etc.) (required)
