A client with Kforce in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in a remote setting. Summary: The client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage our corporate global travel program implementation. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of assigned non-technical projects. Projects may be focused on marketing, sales, finance/accounting, legal, business planning, business operations, customer service, or other non-technical subjects. This role typically involves extensive interactions with cross-functional teams of various functional areas of the business. No specific technology is needed other than what is typically used by Project Managers. This is supporting the implementation of the travel program, which requires exceptional organizational skills, ability to engage the appropriate people, provide timely status and keep the project on track, etc. Responsibilities: * Develop and manage travel procurement strategies * Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure effective travel arrangements * Ensure compliance with company travel policies and procedures * Plans and coordinates all aspects of non-technical projects from initiation through delivery * Conducts project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance, handover documentation and ongoing activities to accountable teams and complete a post-implementation review to identify areas of improvement * May directly oversee employees assigned to manage specific project that have a distinct beginning and end * Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function * Manages project initiation activities that include identifying contractual obligations, client or business needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts, and access to existing information as needed * Some travel may be required
