About the role

Job Title: Transportation Sr. Project Manager –(TMS Implementation)

Department: Central Operations (Logistics and Transportation)

Location: TBD

Job Overview: The Transportation Project Manager will lead the implementation and optimization of our new Transportation Management System (TMS) within the Reworld. This role requires a strategic and technical approach to manage the system rollout, enhance logistics processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive significant change management initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

· System Implementation and Management:

o Lead the rollout of the new TMS, including system setup, configuration, and integration with existing technologies.

o Work closely with IT and logistics teams to ensure seamless implementation and functionality of the TMS.

o Train staff and conduct workshops to facilitate the adoption of the new system.

· Project Planning and Execution:

o Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

o Oversee all project phases, from conception through completion, ensuring they meet predefined objectives and budgets.

· Optimization and Process Improvement:

o Utilize TMS to optimize routes, improve load efficiencies, and reduce transportation costs.

o Continuously analyze system performance and logistics processes to identify and implement improvement opportunities.

· Compliance and Risk Management:

o Ensure all operations adhere to industry standards and environmental regulations specific to waste management.

o Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies throughout the TMS implementation and ongoing operations.

· Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

o Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors related to the TMS.

o Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization and with key partners to facilitate successful change management.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, ideally with significant exposure to transportation or logistics within the waste industry.

· Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale software or system implementations.

· Professional certifications such as PMP or similar are highly desirable.

Skills:

· Strong leadership and change management skills.

· In-depth knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and IT infrastructure.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Robust communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Desired Experience:

· Experience in the waste management or environmental services industry.

· Proven track record of managing technology-driven projects with a focus on logistics and compliance.

· Familiarity with regulations and challenges specific to the transportation of waste materials.
