Minimum requirements for the role:
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in business management or finance, economics, engineering, law, or related fields is preferred for the role. A master’s degree (MBA, MS finance, etc.) is preferred. Professional qualifications such as CFA, Chartered Accountant (CA), or CIMA are highly desirable. Previous experience having worked in senior leadership roles managing teams and executing large scale investment strategies within the commercial, residential and mixed-use property investment portfolios working with capital projects in private equity and or property development or related sectors. Previous experience working within infrastructure and property development is preferred but not essential. Strong financial modelling, risk analysis, and project evaluation skills are essential. Candidates with legal or engineering experience, combined with a strong financial acumen, are encouraged to apply. Candidates with CIMA, Chartered Accountant, CFA, or equivalent qualifications, as well as those from legal or engineering backgrounds, will be considered. Experience with cross-functional teams, including exposure to legal and technical project aspects, is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling software is preferred. Familiarity with portfolio management software and reporting tools is preferred. Knowledge of risk management and performance tracking methodologies is preferred. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-specialist stakeholders. Must have the ability to take initiative, identify new investment opportunities, and drive project success. Must have strong financial and market analysis skills, with an ability to assess risks and opportunities. Must have the ability to articulate investment strategies and outcomes to senior management and investors. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Leading and managing the property investment function, ensuring strategic growth, high-value acquisitions, and maximizing return on investment. This role requires a high level of autonomy, senior management expertise, and strategic decision-making skills handling contracts and negotiations at the highest executive level. Focusing on asset and transactional growth within property finance and corporate and investment banking. Creating specialized structured financing proposals tailored to client needs and optimize client distressed restructurings across corporate and investment banking and business banking. Developing and implementing property investment strategies aligned with corporate objectives. Conducting comprehensive financial analysis and modelling of capital projects within the private equity and property development and various other markets. Performing in-depth due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial and market assessments. Regularly monitoring the performance of ongoing projects, providing timely reports and recommendations. Analysing key performance metrics to ensure that capital projects remain on budget and within scope. Managing the team to optimise portfolio performance through strategic rebalancing and divestment where necessary. Developing and maintaining financial models to forecast project returns (IRR, NPV) and conduct sensitivity analysis. Evaluating market trends and external factors that may impact the portfolio's performance, adjusting forecasts as needed. Identifying risks and opportunities in the economic and regulatory landscape that could impact investment performance. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, partners, project managers, and legal experts. Preparing and presenting investment memos, performance reports, and other materials to investors. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
