About the Team:
The Senior Proposal & Contracts Developer supports Global/Regional Account Managers, Sales Management, and the Professional Services department in the pricing of our products and services, the development of formal proposals, the drafting of statements of work and the preparation of the financial aspects of RFI / RFP responses. You are an expert in the pricing methodology behind Medidata's products and services, and interface with numerous departments within Medidata and with our customers to share that pricing expertise. You will report to the Manager of Proposals & Contracts.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the collection of assumptions and parameters required for detailed pricing of Medidata's software and services. Develop proposals and statements of work using our pricing tool or pricing methodology. Train pricing methodology to personnel within Medidata and for customers. Conduct and participate in pricing meetings with customers. Facilitate required approvals by appropriate management for pricing adjustments and statement of work delivery. Work with Legal department staff to expedite legal approval of final statements of work. Develop customer specific guidelines for unique customer pricing and statement of work formats. Facilitate regular updates and maintenance to the pricing tool and contractual templates. Project management of ad hoc projects. Suggest customers in offering of multiple products. Work with pricing development team to automate contracts and proposals, wherever applicable.Qualifications:
3 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant experience Proficient in Microsoft excel (can perform complex functions) and Microsoft Word Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent relevant experience Analytical and negotiation skillsPreferred: Contract management experience within CROs or other application software providers Bachelor's Degree in the Life Sciences, Business, Finance or Computer Science Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Visual Basic for Applications, macros and advanced security techniquesAs with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on many factors including function, level, candidate experience, and geographic location. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $96,000 - $128,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
