**Job Purpose**
+ To advance and protect Abbott corporate/brand reputation in Taiwan
+ To develop and execute strategic programs delivering impactful results to drive thought leadership and brand competitive position in the market
+ Closely work with Taiwan management teams across divisions, regional and corporate PA teams to achieve desired outcomes
**Authority as Senior Manager, Public Affairs Taiwan will:**
+ Lead affiliate-based corporate communications to drive company’s thought leadership, in line with global and reginal strategic goals
+ Ensure consistent brand identity and demonstrate the role in driving brand adoption with key internal partners
+ Work with business leaders, primarily nutrition, to develop strategic communication programs, raising brand/product awareness and relevant advocacy in focused healthcare areas
+ Maintain sound relationships with external stakeholders as key media, patient groups, KOLs, healthcare associations as well as influencers to enhance the company/brand voice
+ Proactively identify and develop strategy for issue avoidance and mitigation. Ensure the preparedness by developing and implementing mitigation and response plans
+ Develop effective internal communication strategy to boost employee engagement and drive cross-divisional synergy
+ Lead community service programs to address corporate responsibilities and sustainability approach
+ Build and maintain partnership with business leaders and provide PA related consultancy
+ Serve as key PA contact in Taiwan for regional or global related projects
**Core Job Responsibilities**
+ **Storytelling:** Deliver impactful external visibility and reputation for Abbott through multi-channel storytelling
+ **External Engagement:** In partnership with other functions, especially nutrition, conduct stakeholder mapping and develop external engagement strategy, allowing Abbott Taiwan to build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders. Develop and implement key stakeholder joint programs which benefit the health of people in Taiwan
+ **Media Relationship:** Build and maintain sound relationship with top tier media and key external influencers to help drive, enhance and protect the company's reputation and drive business impact
+ **Employee engagement:** Develop engagement strategy and implement cross-divisional activities with corporate messages delivered and inspiring pride
+ **Issue management:** Anticipate, identify potential issues and develop strategy with cross function teams and global/regional PA teams, to protect Abbott reputation and ensure the neutrality of media coverage as appropriate
+ **Agency management:** Effectively lead and supervise PR agency for desirable outcomes; manage approved Taiwan Public Affairs budget
**Management Responsibilities**
The Senior Manager reports to the Director, Public Affairs, Greater China. This role works in a matrixed way with others in Greater China, Regional, Business and HQ PA.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree – preferably in Chinese/English, journalism or other communication-related major
+ 10+ year experience in communications environments, esp public relations agencies, corporate or division communications departments and journalism; healthcare work experience preferred
+ Proven capability of strategic thinking and developing/implementing strategic communication activities
+ Experience in working in a cross-functional and global stakeholders
+ Experience in crisis management, and proven record of managing crisis through effective communications
+ Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal, required

+ Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise way
+ Excellent team player with ability to motivate and influence internal resources
+ Strong project management and coordination skills
+ Attention to detail and owning the sense of urgency
+ Excellent administrative skills to ensure the keeping of accurate records and meaningful information for reporting and evaluation
+ Proven ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines, multi-task and work well under pressure
+ Experience with content management systems, digital asset libraries, and other tools to manage and publish content across multiple channels
