Principal Accountabilities:

Debug moderately complex software products through systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards.Execute software test plans and recommend modifications.Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and software modification.Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective actions.Consult with development engineers to resolve problems.Provide feedback in the preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.Ensure quality computer integration into scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing functions.
 

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).Three to five years of related experience preferred.Strong written and oral communication skills.
 

Knowledge & Application:

Understands and applies principles and practices in a recognized professional field.Likely to be newly professionally qualified or have extensive experience in a complex technical area.Determines courses of action based on guidelines and modifies processes as required.Requires knowledge of company policies, practices, and procedures.

Resolves varied and non-routine issues.Uses previous experience to identify the most appropriate options or improve existing approaches.Undertakes analysis and investigation to solve differing, but related, problems.Work is performed under general guidance and direction.
