Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Senior SDET to support a Fortune 100 retail client. Initially, the role may require the Quality Engineer to operate in a non-embedded manner across multiple teams, and therefore must have strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to multi-task. The position will require testing via multiple platforms including native applications and web applications. Ultimately this position will be moved to a product team and it is expected the quality engineer be a leader and self-sufficient. The hourly pay for this position is $60-75/hr and based on experience. Responsibilities: - Participates in all Agile ceremonies for Team - Plans and executes tests to cover functional, integration, compatibility and regression needs and reports back findings to the Team - Helps lead test automation effort, advocating for automation and contributes to framework design and suggests process improvements - Reviews automated test runs, reports out on automated test execution and coverage statuses, and maintains broken automated tests - Understands each area of the business, grasp their processes and learn how they work together - Understands complex problems, develops solutions and can communicate to both people inside and outside of their team - Uses and modifies existing libraries/tools for automation testing - Deciphers between basic business requirements and technical requirements - Creates test strategies and plans for team and assists other teams when needed - Identifies new tools or processes for adoption - Writes general documentation regarding QE processes and tools - Develops key quality metrics and reports to stakeholders in the organization - Participates in the interview of new candidates We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance/engineering - NodeJS, Typescript, and Playwright test automation framework experience - Strong understanding of IT systems including system design, Object Oriented Design, databases and programming concepts specifically HTML, browsers, JavaScript, Web Services, miscellaneous developer tools - Strong background in test automation with front end and back end automation tools - Experience with Chrome (or other browser) Dev Tools - Experience testing on various mobile and desktop devices, including mobile and native applications for Android and iOS. - Understanding of API concepts and experience with automated integration testing with APIs - Experience with Azure PAAS - Experience with API-level automated tests - Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines - Understanding of Core Web Vitals such as Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) or Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) - Experience with A/B testing - Experience with ADA Accessibility Testing null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
