Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Clearance: US Citizenship required to obtain necessary background clearance. Ultimately will require a DHS Public Trust to start, and will be processed to obtain a Top Secret clearance. However, the active and completed TS clearance is not required before you start. Must be able and willing to obtain TS clearance upon being hired.

Location: 100% Remote - once per quarter attending PI planning in the Washington, DC area

 Clearance:  

Must be a US CitizenMust be able to obtain a federal clearanceWillingness to pursue a Top Secret Clearance, but the clearance process does not impact start date. Clearance will be inititated after being hired.

Responsibilities/Duties:   

Estimating test case writing and execution effort and keeping track of own and team progress.Designing test strategies, test plans, and test cases from requirements, design documents and specifications.Estimating test case writing and execution effort and keeping track of own and team progress.Test case authoring and holding test case reviews with stakeholders.Execution of test cases including functional, regression, performance, load and smoke tests for both web applications and database.Reporting defects, tracking, validating, and closing.Recording test results and reporting them.508 compliance test execution and documentation.Identifying regression test candidates for automation, planning automation activities across the team and automating test cases.Participation in daily scrum meetings, agile ceremonies, and weekly test team meetings.Participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection.Install, maintain, or use software testing programs.Supporting our metrics program by keeping track and gathering metrics on all activities.Support UAT activities.Support end of sprint demos, user acceptance testing, and solicit feedback from NRCS on test artifacts and processes.

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of IT Experience (A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in related field or equivalent work experience can be substituted instead of a degree)Must have recent experience developing Automated Test cases using Selenium Webdriver and JavaStrong experience in object-oriented design developmentHands-on experience in Testing frameworks like Junit, Nunit, Cucumber, JMeterExperience with testing Angular or REACT-based UI frameworks. Ability to do troubleshooting.Good communication skills in both writing and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with DevSecOpsExperienced in testing SOAP & REST web services using Swagger, SOAPUI, ReadyAPIPrior experience with 508 Testing for Federal Agencies is a big plusExperience with IBM Rational Suite of products
