The Nokia 1830 Security Management Server (SMS) is a specialized component designed to enhance the security of Nokia’s optical transport networks. It serves as a centralized system for managing security policies, encryption keys, and other critical security functions across optical transport systems.
As an integral part of the Nokia Secure Optical Transport solution, the 1830 SMS protects in-flight data, preventing sensitive information from falling into the wrong hands and mitigating the risk of business loss or service interruptions. It generates quantum-safe keys for Nokia's optical platforms (1830 PSS, 1830 PSI), microwave platforms (Wavence), service routers and other network elements. These keys secure a wide range of applications and services, including quantum-safe Layer 0 encryption.
The 1830 SMS development team is expanding its Integration, Verification, and Testing team—an opportunity to join the forefront of cutting-edge secure communications technology.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimun 7 years of relted experience Work experience in manual testing of telecom products, including the ability to work with systems and test instruments. Hands-on automation experience with Selenium and Python. Strong working knowledge of Linux. OS security and encryption concepts Proficiency in IP networking, including debugging and network analyzer tools such as Wireshark. Knowledge of optical transport and service routers. Familiarity with cloud hosting environments, virtualization, and containerization.

Analyze feature descriptions, requirements and use cases for 1830 SMS features and feedback into the development team. Develop test plans and test cases for these features to ensure requirement compliance and best-in-class product quality. Execute these tests, report bugs, collaborate with architects and developers to resolve issues, and verify fixes. Create and maintain test automation for these features. Perform regression testing across various configurations and environments.This role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for testing and troubleshooting, driven by the goal of delivering high-quality products to customers on time.
