We're looking for a highly motivated Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Factory Systems team. We are seeking an experienced quality engineer who is passionate about building something exciting and new and wants to help make quiet, emissions-free flight an everyday reality. As a senior quality assurance engineer on the Factory Systems team, you will work closely with Product Management, Product Operations and various customer teams like Manufacturing or Supply chain on building a holistic system landscape for enabling the successful design, test and manufacturing of our revolutionary aircraft. This is the first QA hire focused on our internal enterprise software. You will have the opportunity to shape best practices and the future of QA on the team.
Responsibilities Work closely with engineering, product and design to ensure our suite of factory systems products meets the product requirementsIdentify, reproduce, isolate and report bugsWork closely with stakeholders on developing a comprehensive suite of test casesDevelop automated testing and conduct hands-on testing for our product suiteConduct user focused testing for new featuresCreate comprehensive QA plans and manage their executionCollaborate with our frontend, backend and infrastructure teams on incorporating key test frameworks into both our internal products as well as external systemsManage project timelines and release schedulesAid in prioritization and communication of issues between customers, product and engineering Required B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of Software QA experience crafting, maintaining and carrying out test plans3+ years of programming experience, preferably in scripting and automated testingUnderstanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing toolsWorked with automation test tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Apium or CypressExperience crafting test reporting dashboards and reports, enabling seamless status reporting to multi-functional partnersExperience identifying automation requirements and crafting solutions to address test execution challengesExperience diagnosing and debugging complex systemsEnjoys working in a dynamic environment that is evolving and may be demanding at timesProficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting deadlinesProactive, take initiatives, and work independentlyExperience with real time data processing and streaming Desired Have experience with project managementExperience with ticket tracking systems and preferably experience with Linear.Have experience working in manufacturing organizationsExperience handling sensitive customer data and logsExperience with cloud environments as well as application deployment and scaling technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, docker, FirebaseAbility to maximize efficiency of testing and QA by utilizing the engineers, product managers and designers most effectivelyExperience with test frameworks for external systems like Microsoft DynamicsPlease still apply if you don’t meet all items in the desired section! EEOCompensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $110,700 - $163,000/yr. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
