Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

A Senior QA reports to a QA Lead. Works closely with the QA lead, QA Subject Matter Experts, other QA members, project managers, designers, and developers to ensure QA standards and client satisfaction are delivered throughout the account. A Senior QA brings analytical thinking and support to the team; QA leads on many tasks. 

 

You will:

Is responsible for performing any of the QA tasks with barely any guidance   Plan, conducted, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects   Responsible for analyzing and understanding requirements and design specifications to ensure a quality process  Responsible for attending, leading, and/or organizing meetings on behalf of the team  Responsible for promoting and evaluating QA values and principles for the QA team and everyone in the company and our clients.  Support QA lead to work and motivate other team members in a team-oriented and collaborative environment with both technical and non-technical team members  Responsible for communicating test results, issues, and risks to project team members, project managers, and QA management through the different channels  Responsible for promoting effective communication, participation, and involvement amongst QA members.  Responsible for test data identification  Creating and maintaining comprehensive test plans   Writing and maintaining test cases/scripts following high-quality standards  Create traceability matrix documents based on project requirements  Create checklist documentation based on project requirements  Performing functional and non-functional testing   Effectively communicating statuses   Develop test design documents to cover requirements  Plan and schedule test activities to ensure quality  Apply industry-standard testing methodology, strategies, and industry best practices  Create defect tickets and track issues to resolution and risk analysis of said issues  Report creation and related metrics at different levels  Overseeing, delegating, and coordinating work with other QA Associates and apprentices.  Development of junior staff members  Creating and executing regression tests based on design specifications and requirements   Conducting research into new technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks related to QA  Support QA Lead in QA estimations.  Responsible for identifying with the QA lead areas where automation tools can be applied for the benefit of the project  Identify and raise risks  Support the QA lead in onboarding, coaching, and mentoring activities. 

 

You have:

English Proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation) 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Working experience with Javascript Working experience with automation tools like AccelQ or another similar (Playwright, Cypress). Working experience with CI/CD (Jenkins) Knowledge of Agile Methodologies for software development Experience working with local and offshore teams Experience in task management and defect tracking tools like Jira and/or similar Mastery of office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint. Working Knowledge of collaboration and issue-tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence. Working experience with SQL Working knowledge with Azure (Data Factory) Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. ISTQB Certification or other QA-related certification. Extensive knowledge of Windows or MacOS software
