Primary Responsibilities:
Product Quality Champion: Champion for product quality within the team Assess product readiness and commit to product delivery schedules Test Strategy Implementation: Work with Product and Development teams to design and implement Test Strategy to deliver quality consumer software products Implement Test Automation leveraging test automation frameworks while driving processes to reduce manual test coverage Manage all test execution and defects in any given test management tool Lead defect triage to effectively report all defects to the Scrum team Work with a distributed agile team Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet high standards of quality, performance, security, and reliability Help write test plans, test cases, and provide suggestions for improving QA processes Perform manual exploratory testing to identify difficult-to-find bugs and UX issues Test Automation Framework: Design and develop a robust test automation framework using Playwright JS, GitHub Actions, and JMeter for load testing Create and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing Technical Review: Review and critique technical requirements, software design specifications, and software implementation Assist the development team in analyzing defects and tracking them to successful resolution Status Reporting: Provide comprehensive status reports to QA management Framework Optimization: Continuously enhance and optimize the test automation framework to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability Actively research new tools/methods beneficial for implementing Automated Tests Collaboration and Strategy: Work closely with QA managers and stakeholders to define test automation strategies and best practices Identify, prioritize, and resolve test automation issues and challenges Mentorship: Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the QA team Leverage communication, documentation, preparation, and training to educate other disciplines on QA Automation processes Industry Trends: Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques Policy Compliance: Follow the organization’s established policies and procedures when implementing automated tests Comply with employment contract terms, company policies, and procedures Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field and 10+ years of work experience in relevant roles 3+ years of professional experience in iOS/Android mobile application testing with physical, cloud devices, or simulators/emulators Experience in manual and automation of web services (Rest, GraphQL) using API testing tools such as Postman, GraphQL Playground, or similar tools Experience with CI/CD and project management tools (e.g., GitHub, CI/CD tools, Jenkins, Rally, SharePoint, etc.) Extensive experience in test automation architecture and framework development Experience with JavaScript test automation frameworks (e.g., NodeJs, Cypress, Cucumber, WebdriverIO, Puppeteer, Selenium, Playwright, Mocha, Protractor) Experience designing, developing, and executing automated tests for mobile applications across various platforms (iOS, Android) Expertise in using GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment Expertise in Appium with an understanding of its capabilities and limitations In-depth knowledge of JMeter for load testing and performance monitoring Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices Understanding of mobile testing methodologies and experience with CI/CD pipelines Proficiency in Playwright JS framework for web application testing Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Proven excellent communication and collaboration skills Demonstrated enthusiasm for finding and fixing issues daily
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts CI experience to enable automated test execution with tools like GitHub Actions (preferred: Jenkins, CircleCI, or Bamboo) Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing methodologies and practices Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker Proficiency in writing and modifying DB queries Well-versed with concepts of performance and load testing with JMeter Demonstrated ability to debug code, analyze failures, and trace defects to the root cause Comfortable working in a dynamic, low-structure, constantly changing atmosphere Proven exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including working with individuals in different geographical locations and time zones
