Job Summary
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection. You will be accountable for maximizing test coverage and using business analysis techniques to optimize testing activities.You will lead the technical test effort and be responsible for identifying, building, maintaining and executing automated test scripts to ensure quality and coverage for functionality, integration, regression, end to end and performance.
You will play a key role in identifying new automation tools to increase testing efficiency.

What will you do?
Manage project test activities aligning to RBC Quality Engineering practices while partnering across IT and with assigned business lines to plan functional and nonfunctional testing activitiesDevelop project/program test plans and strategies with a focus on optimized coverage for assigned programs/projects through the application lifecycle and managing end to end quality project activitiesResponsible for maximizing automation for all project deliverables and for following defined processes and tools and alignment with overall QE strategy and frameworkEffectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to closePromotes collaboration and partnering to develop and meet core project objectives and provides coaching to team members on QE, Agile, DevOps and applicable RBC processes, practices and automation toolsLeverage the existing automation frameworks, tools, and artefacts to ensure testing process is continuous, comprehensive, and fully autonomous.What do you need to succeed? 5 to 7 years of Quality Engineering experience, with 1 to 2 years of QE Automation experienceHands-on experience in leading test case design to provide optimal coverageExperience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools (Ready API, Cucumber, Robot) and script development using scripting languages (Java)Experience working with software delivery methodologies, frameworks and best practices (Agile and Iterative Waterfall)2 or more years hands-on experience in test integration and processes including integration with DevOps pipeline (i.e. GitHub, Jenkins, OpenShift), Collaborative (i.e. Confluence, JIRA) and Test Management tools (qTest)Highly effective communication skills; ability to focus and prioritize and solve complex technical problemsNice to Have's
Experience reviewing artefacts including code reviews (application and test automation scripts)Credit systems experience in financial industryWhat’s in it for you?
