Senior Quality Engineer Country/Region: US Location: Gray Court, SC, US Req ID 77492 | [[location_obj]], United States ZF Transmissions Gray Court, LLC **Long Description** *DNP* *CBD* ZF Transmissions Gray Court, LLC has job openings (multiple) for the position of Senior Quality Engineer based out of its location in Gray Court, SC. **Job Duties:** Monitor manufacturing processes and assess product quality to determine adequacy, capability and ability to comply with customer and company’s s specifications; Develop and maintain documents and procedures related to quality standards, risk analysis, lessons learned from product recalls, product audits, field returns and repairs, complaints, scrap, and rework, and retain documented information as evidence; Support and comply with established Company’s Corporate Principles and goals; Understand and comply with Quality requirements such as ISO 14000 and IATF 16949 requirements; Capability to interpret prints and measurement tools (GD&T); Guide manufacturing personnel in the proper application of quality systems and tools; Utilize basic quality tools along with problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions promoting lessons learned process; Perform activities in coordination / supervision with other departments; Work with cross-functional teams and drive conclusion of engineering activities; Initiate, complete and ensure proper conformity of engineering changes to quality standards; Trigger additional escalation levels as needed in order to protect internal and external customer; Lead and participate 8D and PPAC teams, Projects and Line function for Quality improvement; Make recommendations to modify customer part specifications and tolerances as necessary to support cost effective production; Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup; Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA); Assure Control Plans are available and updated throughout the life of the part; and Collaborate to Develop and submit PPAP documents for new product launches and revision of current products to meet customer requirements. **Requirements:** Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree we will accept a Bachelor's degree equivalency earned through any suitable combination of education and experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service. Position requires 5 years of experience in quality engineering occupations, and demonstrated experience with: AIAG and IATF standards including IATF 16949; 8D; PPAC; 5 Why; Poka Yoke; Ishikawa; Pareto; APQP; PPCN; PPAP; Production Control Plan for Gears; Flow Charts for Machining and Assembly processes; FMEA; SPC; SAP ERP SP1 or LP1; Axalant e.6.2.1., including global level access; Q-Das; Auditor to VDA 6.3; Klingenberg software; and GD&T using ISO and ANSI standard. **Send Resume To:** Recruitment@zf.com, reference Position ID No. ZF-750 in the email.
