The Job At-A-Glance:

Q2 is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our team of innovators. Our team designs online banking software consisting of high quality technology solutions that enable financial institutions and their customers to securely communicate and transact anytime and anywhere via online banking, mobile banking, and voice banking. A Typical Day:

Work with developers, business analysts, project managers and other stakeholders to understand the goals and deliverables of each project and how it relates to our industry and our product’s standard functionality.Create comprehensive test plans alongside development that provide outstanding code coverage and that can be traced to user stories/epicsCreate test cases for features/functions; with detailed steps to perform and expected results along with an automated script that can be run to determine pass/fail resultsExecute test cases and provide results and create resulting defects with diagnostic information for proper triagePossess strong leadership qualities to effectively lead and guide the Quality teamMentor and guide junior Quality Engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvementResponsible for developing and implementing effective QA strategies and methodologiesDevelop and implement comprehensive test automation strategiesExperience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable test automation frameworks using various tools and technologies (Javascript, Python, or equivalent)Proficient in Load Testing and/or Performance Testing strategiesWork with developers to explain test outcomes and guide them to understanding exit criteria.Ability to focus on detail while also exercising pragmatism to keep up with project deadlinesParticipate in and contribute test effort estimates in Sprint/Release planning sessionsBe passionate about driving product quality throughout the product line

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.6+ years’ experience and knowledge of:

o    Test Plans and Testing Methodology

o    Test Case Management Skills (Create, Execute, Report, Revise, Repeat)

o    Test Automation Lifecycle Experience

o    Debugging complex web applications issues through code review and detailed logs

o    RESTful API integration for driving test cases

o    Scripting, specifically using JavaScript, Python, or similar

Strong experience with Automation, Test Plans, and Testing MethodologyStrong experience in testing web-based software solutions (both front end and back-end services)Experience with Python and SQL is considered a plusExperience with Automation tools such as Selenium with Python/JavaScript is considered a plusStrong test case management skills (Create, Execute, Report, Revise, Repeat)Strong experience debugging complex web applications issues through code review and detailed logsExcellent communication and teaming skills especially with highly technical team membersStrong test plan organization and test execution planning skills in a CI and Agile environmentExperience working in small, highly efficient teams with a high degree of collaboration processPassionate about the work, proactive work ethic, and has a highly motivated attitude to provide excellence in software qualityExperience CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab pipelines is a plusExperience with version control systems such as Gitlab/ BitbucketExperience with defect tracking systems; JIRA is considered a plusProven experience in the use of web services and RESTful APIs when performing testing; expertise considered a plusExperience with SAAS is highly desiredAbility to work flexible hours when necessary for deadlinesResponsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
