Senior Quality Engineer - Automation
**About the Role:** **Grade Level (for internal use):** 10 **The Team** : The Platform Solutions group supports all development requirements for two of S&P’s specialist business teams within the wider Commodity Insights group: Fuel, Chemicals and Resource Solutions, and Gas, Power and Climate Solutions. Our work includes all aspects of creation of, and ongoing support for, our business lines’ data flows, databases, analyst modelling solutions and workflows, new apps, new client-facing products, and many other work areas besides. Our highly experienced team members are based in locations worldwide to support these S&P teams across the globe. **The Impact** : As part of the CI division, the FCRS and GPCS business lines have a wide customer base and are experiencing continuing strong growth. Our teams use the latest software and development processes, including a number of proprietary AI tools **Job Summary** + As a Senior SDET, you will be responsible for leading the Quality Engineering efforts within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain quality standards, drive test automation initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. **Key Responsibilities** : + Lead the QE team in planning, designing, and executing test strategies to ensure the quality of software products. + Establish and maintain QE processes, standards, and best practices across the organization. + Drive the implementation of test automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage. + Collaborate with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testable acceptance criteria. + Mentor and coach QE team members, providing guidance on testing techniques, automation practices, and professional development. + Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization of testing processes. + Track and report on quality metrics and KPIs to stakeholders, providing insights into the health of software projects. + Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Quality Engineering, and incorporate them into our practices. **Qualifications** : + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. + 5 to 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, with a leadership or management role. + Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. + Experience in test automation tools and frameworks, such as **Selenium, Appium, or similar.** + Proficiency in programming languages like **Java, Python, or JavaScript** . + Experience in **API testing** using Postman and Rest-Assured + Strong **performance script creation skills using Jmeter** + Experience with **SQL/PL-SQL** , writing SQL queries, and stored procedures + Experience with source control tools such as GIT, TFS, SVN + Experience with cloud technologies (AWS) is preferred + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. + Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards common goals. + Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies. + Certifications in Quality Engineering or Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) **About S&P Global Commodity Insights** At S&P Global Commodity Insights, our complete view of global energy and commodities markets enables our customers to make decisions with conviction and create long-term, sustainable value.
