Duties
The Senior Quality Engineer II will formulate procedures, specifications, and standards for Zimmer products and processes; evaluate process methods and equipment to meet performance and quality requirements; provide leadership for quality engineering projects from concept through design, implementation, testing, documentation, support, and maintenance; develop and implement corrective/preventative action plans, process monitoring plans and monitoring performance of processes to a standard; establish quality plans for equipment and processes for general and specific product performance needs; collect and analyze data for gauge and product evaluation; identify critical personnel, gauges, procedures, and materials needed for the completion of new product introductions into production; assist Manufacturing, Sourcing and Development in the interpretation and application of regulations, ensure those departments have necessary information and details to deliver quality products to internal/external customers.
Requirements - Education & ExperienceEducation - Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, or related engineering field.
Experience
Requires 5 years of experience in job offered or a related position.
Requires 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Requires 3 years of experience working with QSR/ISO regulations.
Requires 3 years of experience in design assurance, FMEA, and product testing methods, and use optical comparators and CMMs.
Requires 3 years of experience in process control, statistics, and process capability with specific focus on Infinity QS for advanced data trending and statistical process control.
Requires 2 years of experience with Minitab.
Travel ExpectationsPosition requires up to 20% domestic travel.
