Senior Quality Inspector
A Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products or services meet established quality standards and specifications. They perform inspections, tests, and audits to identify any defects or deviations from quality requirements. Quality Inspectors use various tools and techniques to measure and evaluate the quality of materials, components, and finished products. They document and report any non-conformities and work closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Additionally, they may participate in the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

Part inspection according to engineering and manufacturing drawings. Develop and calibrate measurement instruments and systems. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of measurement equipment. Analyze measurement data to ensure accuracy and consistency Develop measurement procedures and protocols Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Maintaining and controlling the nonconformance report process, write and maintain all NCRs. Adhere to all company policies and safety rules.            Attend department safety and training meetings.           Record shop discrepancies and shortages.       Record engineering discrepancies.        Develop and calibrate measurement instruments and systems Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of measurement equipment Analyze measurement data to ensure accuracy and consistency Develop measurement procedures and protocols Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements Provide technical support and training to other departments Document and report measurement and calibration results Conduct research to improve measurement techniques and technologies Collaborate with engineers to resolve measurement challenges. Certify equipment and processes according to national and international standards

Qualifications & Skills:

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma. Advanced knowledge of electrical theory. Minimum 8 years of experience in the industrial electrical field and/or associate degree in electrical technology. Experience with calibration and measurement systems

Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements

Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 is a plus. Proficient in using measurement software and tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy Prior experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation Knowledge of quality management systems Strong understanding of measurement principles and techniques Experience with instrumentation and calibration Proficient in data analysis and interpretation Strong problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail Good communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of metrology software and tools is a plus. Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards

Working Conditions

Safety sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment with occasional outside activities. Required to always wear personnel protective equipment (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harnesses and respirators) when required. Working at a desk and computer in an office environment is required. Must be able to work from all types of ladders (step ladders, "A" frame ladders and all size extension ladders) and scaffolding. Working at heights usually no higher than 30 feet in the air or using proper lift equipment.

Physical Requirements

Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs. Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction in a repetitive manner continuously. Continuous standing, walking 50–300-foot distances for long periods of time with only occasional sitting. Must be able to climb stairs frequently throughout the shift. Able to frequently look over shoulders, work with both arms above shoulders and use both arms at full length frequently. Using upper extremities to apply or exert a force continuously up to 50lbs. Ability to use hand tools such as tin snips, hammer, and power tools (some vibrating), for long periods of time with frequent repetition.
