Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Specialist supporting Quality Processes and Continuous Improvement within BDS Fabrication and Processes, Methods & Tools organization, to join our team located in Multiple Locations!

This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule. This hybrid position can be located within 50 miles of any of the listed locations and will require some presence on site at a local Boeing BDS site.

This senior position will work collaboratively across functions across the BDS divisions, programs/sites and business units. Ideal candidate should have  working knowledge of quality processes and experience within manufacturing environment . This includes data/analytics and quality process understanding to be able to communicate quality requirements to the stakeholders. This position will require extensive background in Quality, ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and is required to have proficiency working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and ability to meet deadlines.

This position will be responsible to represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Candidates will be required to have strong written and verbal communication and the ability and skill to organize complex details for executive / senior leader consumption

Position Responsibilities:

Support integration efforts within Fabrication and Process Methods & Tools 

Analyzes key performance indicator data and non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

Assess engineering requirements and specification and provide Quality interpretation of requirements.

Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for programs to

ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

Recommend and support corrective actions to address non-conformances and risk mitigations

Lead / support Safety Risk Management investigations and control plan development and execution

Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

Knowledge and understanding of Quality processes including but not limited to Line Stock Check (LSC), Cut the CoRRS (CTC), Manufacturing Self-Examination (MSE), Enterprise Quality Work Movement & Transfers, Product Verification and Acceptance Planning (PVAP), Enterprise Process Evaluation System (EPES) Surveillances, First Article Inspection (FAI), Cut The Corrs (CTC) and Non-Conformance Management (NCM), Accident, Incident, Damage Report (AIDR), Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP), Break of Inspection (BOI), Internal Boeing Notification (IBN)

Experience working with Executive and Senior Leadership in planning, developing and presenting succinct presentations.

Proficient to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and be able to meet deadlines.

Consults at the business unit level to support development of Quality criteria for programs/sites.

Oversees the development of Processes, Methods, Tools and metrics to ensure quality and compliance.

Leads verification reviews to ensure adequate surveillance to validate product and process Quality requirements.

Develops new methods for conducting product and process validations.

Represents Quality in design reviews of the inter-relationship of multiple systems.

Performs benchmarking of enterprise best practices.

Leads cross-functional continuous Quality improvement projects and efforts.

Works under consultative direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

More than 5 years of experience performing analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements and/or government regulations

More than 5 years of experience presenting and communicating data in Senior Leadership briefings

More than 3 years of experience with root cause corrective action

More than 3 years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100))

More than 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Level 5: 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

More than 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry

Bachelors degree

Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard.

Experience in conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) complex technical issues/processes and implementing corrective actions

Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through diverse approaches

Experience with reading / interpreting requirements (i.e. process specifications, drawings, product standards)

Knowledge of Quality and Lean processes and tools

More than 5 years of experience performing analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to a Quality Management System requirement, applicable company procedures, contract requirements and/or government regulations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for senior level (Level 4): USD 93,500 - 144,900

Summary pay range for senior level (Level 5): USD 119,000 - 185,150
