JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the quality and integrity of the data moving from one database to another for a SaaS based application. Compare large volumes of transformed data from different sources (ex: databases, flat files, etc.) using automated and manual testing. Author complex SQL queries for comparing the data. Actively participate in writing and executing manual and automated test cases leveraging industry best practices within an agile development environment. Develop Test Plan/Test Scripts with Business positive/negative scenarios with SQL, UI and Reporting/Dashboards for data warehouse projects. Build very complex SQL queries to provide Source to Target data validation for ET, before and after transformation, including Business Intelligence. Identify opportunities to apply automation or other tools to improve the effectiveness or efficiency of testing. Validate data quality and test downstream consumption of reports and calculations. Ensure that testing addresses requirements as agreed with other stakeholders. Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner. Prioritize tasks based on business needs and product/project impact. Work across various groups effectively drive testing of cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements. Cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices. Maintain framework for record retention to support internal and external IT audits. Perform other duties as needed.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.Also required is: 5 years of experience: identifying, writing, and executing test cases in a SAAS-Multi-tenant application environment; validating the accuracy of ETL data transformations implemented in SSIS using SSIS tools and authoring complex SQL queries for data comparison; validating MicroStrategy reporting objects and their use in custom and standard reports; validating AWS QuickSight datasets and dashboards built utilizing the QuickSight datasets; in Test Automation using Java and C#; testing SAS-based applications; using Agile development tools including Jira, Confluence and Xray; and using web application and ETL QA methodologies to ensure industry best practices are followed.Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.Experience can be concurrent.#LI-DNI
