JOB DESCRIPTION:
Develop and execute performance and automation tests. Plan and execute effective and efficient performance and automation testing to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products and data. Interact with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan testing for delivery of software products and enhancements and to assure software products meet product requirements and quality standards. Coordinate with QA/Testing staff, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts to plan and execute automated and performance tests for software systems. Research available software system tools and participate in initiatives to implement those that will cost-effectively enhance testing capabilities and product quality. Research and identify root causes of software system errors and performance issues in partnership with architects, developers, and network and system engineers. Conduct project reviews, ensuring review criteria are defined, and implement procedures for ensuring quality control of project deliverables. Adhere to industry best practices and enhancements of methodologies employed for software system test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting. Work across teams to enhance quality assurance/testing and help to develop/execute performance and automation testing throughout the business as appropriate. Identify areas for improvement and, with leadership, peers, or others, implement initiatives improving overall capability and efficiency. Perform other duties as needed.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.Also required is: 5 years of experience: in automation feasibility study, development and maintenance of functional, integration and load performance scripts across platforms; performing functional tests in Client/Server and web-based applications by running Smoke Testing, Functional Automation Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Database Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Content Data Testing; building and deploying applications, and conducting manual and automated testing; developing functional and automation test scripts using C# and JAVA as a programming language, as well as utilizing Selenium WebDriver and NUnit/TestNg for validating software products; monitoring the performance of applications under test using Splunk; reporting defects in JIRA backlog and follow-up until closure; with analyzing logs in order to understand the root causes of issues; performing automated nightly application regression and performance tests; utilizing functional, integration, and production testing by leveraging CI/CD Pipeline; and creating and maintaining test IDs required to test the product features.Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Alpharetta, GA but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.Experience can be concurrent.#LI-DNI
