We’ve got what you’re looking for. **Job Description:** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior QS** to join our team! **What You'll Be Doing:** + Take care of the financial and contractual aspects of the project/ programme. + Participate, record and prepare the minutes of the progress meetings. + Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project. + Finalize the Contractor’s monthly payment certificates. + Make sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order. + Advise the SRE and RE’s on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities. + Evaluate the unit rates for new work items. + Establish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process + Lead in the preparation of variation orders. + Lead in the evaluation of claims. + Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues + Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements + Advise on contractor’s resource allocation. + Prepare financial statements for monthly report. + Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations. + Check and record measurements of completed work. + Monitor contracts final cost estimates. + Coordinate and monitor activities of his team. + Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation + Must be prepared to Work in the Field within Client offices and site offices **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or construction management or related field (or equivalent experience). + Mandatory 12+ years post graduate demonstrable experience in all aspects of quantity surveying with a minimum of 6+ years experience should be in UAE + Proven experience in analyzing contract variations and claims + Experience in contracts engineering under construction supervision project is a must. + Excellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills. + Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be a QS team leader + Working knowledge of software typically associated with quantity surveying and familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is required. + Must be available in UAE. **What Desired Skills You'll Bring:** + Qualified and chartered by a recognized international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) will be an added advantage. + 8+ years of related work experience in road & infrastructure projects is preferred. + Ability to perform difficult estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required.
