**Senior Quantity Surveyor**
**Abu Dhabi, UAE**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our project team! In this pivotal role you will take the lead in delivering post contract quantity surveying and estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry in the UAE.
Marine infrastructure experience is essential, with a strong track record of delivering similar projects in the UAE. This will be a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished professional to advance their career contributing to a prestigious project.
This role will be located in project site office in Abu Dhabi.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Take care of the financial and contractual aspects of the project/ programme.
+ Participate, record and prepare the minutes of the progress meetings.
+ Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.
+ Finalize the Contractor’s monthly payment certificates.
+ Make sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order.
+ Advise the SRE and RE’s on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.
+ Evaluate the unit rates for new work items.
+ Establish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process;
+ Lead in the preparation of variation orders.
+ Lead in the evaluation of claims.
+ Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues.
+ Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.
+ Advise on contractor’s resource allocation.
+ Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
+ Audit payments to Contractors.
+ Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.
+ Check and record measurements of completed work.
+ Monitor contracts final cost estimates.
+ Maintain expenditure records.
+ Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
+ Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ Mandatory 15+ years post graduate demonstrable experience in all aspects of quantity surveying.
+ Mandatory to have demonstrable quantity surveying experience in **marine infrastructure works** .
+ Proven experience in analyzing contract variations and claims.
+ Experience in contracts engineering under construction supervision project is a must.
+ Excellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills.
+ Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be a QS team leader.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
+ Qualified and chartered by a recognised international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or similar will be an added advantage.
+ Ability to perform difficult estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required.
+ Working knowledge of software typically associated with quantity surveying and familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is required.
