An opportunity has arisen to join a leading construction main contractor for a unique and rare project in the region. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor working with this leading contractor, you will take commercial responsibility for the main contract administration, consultant's administration and risk and opportunity management as directed by the Commercial Lead. This contractor offers a wide range of schemes of new build and refurbishments within Education, Health, Defence, Leisure and Hospitality.
Responsibilities:
Identify any main contract derogations and notify the Commercial LeadProvide accurate and timely updates on package summary sheetsProduce cash and turnover forecasts per packageTake overall responsibility for external, internal, and package risk and opportunity schedulesTo support the project team with commercial and contractual expertiseAssist the procurement team in producing package procurement documents as required, ensuring efficient and effective procurement processesAssess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risksImplement policies for risk managementPrepare Subcontract Final Accounts for review and sign-offPreparation and presentation of monthly Cost ReportsValue works executed by Sub-ContractorsCertify interim and final payments Skills:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related fieldProven experience in senior commercial role within the construction industryStrong understanding of contract administration, procurement, and change management processesIn depth knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and valuation processesProficiency in using Excel and project management toolsRelevant driving licenceIf you would like to discuss, please do call RGB Recruitment Exeter and ask for Nicky Harris.
