THE ROLE

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for change management, payment review and processing, contract administration, estimating, cost control, cashflow and reporting on allocated Work Packages.

The project is a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to Abu Dhabi's growth. This includes developing service networks for newly developed land and community facilities such as schools, mosques, parks, etc. KBR will provide Project Management Consultancy services in project planning, controls, change management, design and engineering management, and implementation of the development and early works packages.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESOversee, review and track all Potential Change (PVRs) and Variations (VOs) including reportingOversee, review and track all payments for Consultants and ContractorsDevelop, maintain and review Consultant deployment schedulesContract administrationPreparation and maintenance of estimates, budgets, cost report and cashflowsLiaise with Planning Department and review Value of Work Done (VOWD)Review and comment on bids and contract award recommendation reportsEstimating of value engineering options and lifecycle costsAnalysing and reporting on Consultants and Contractors cost reports, cash flows and deployment forecastingCo-ordination with Package Managers, Consultants and ContractorsPreparation of monthly and weekly reportsEXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEBSc Quantity SurveyingMRICS MembershipMinimum 15 years overall experienceMinimum 10 years of experience in similar roleMinimum 5 years of experience working in Middle EastSound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major asset and civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilitiesExperience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and cost forecastingExperienced user of MS Office, advanced MS Excel user and Primavera Contracts Manager an advantageFluent English both written and spoken, Arabic speaking advantageous.COMPETENCIESStrong interpersonal and communication skillsContract and Commercial awarenessStrong customer focusPlanning & organisingAccepts ResponsibilityHSE Awareness
