Job Description
Collaborate with the electrical engineering team to develop a harness/wearable (class 1) for a rechargeable battery, focusing on product design and prototyping in a regulated medical device environment.
ResponsibilitiesWork closely with electrical engineers to support the development of wearable harnesses for rechargeable batteries.Engage in product design using SolidWorks and ensure design for manufacturability.Prototype and fabricate components for medical devices, considering material change and interaction with vendors.Develop and sustain components, providing necessary mechanical support.Understand and apply risk management and hazard identification processes.Prepare accurate reports and documentation, adhering to regulated environment standards.Analyze existing products and replicate them with suitable materials.Reverse engineer products when required and explain methodologies used.Essential SkillsExperience in medical device product development.Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical and product design.Understanding of regulated environments and clinical needs.Knowledge of risk management and hazard identification.Ability to document and report accurately.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in roles such as R&D, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.Capability to interact with vendors and manage material changes.Work Environment
Join a dynamic startup with a team size of approximately 80-100 people. The company is in its commercialization phase, having recently received FDA 510(k) clearance. Expansion is underway with plans for a second building to enhance R&D and manufacturing capabilities.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $126000.00 - $220200.00/yr.
