The Sr. R&D Technician is responsible for supporting an R&D team to develop new separation science products, methods, and techniques, execute experimental part of a research project, and summarize and report data. It will also be responsible for providing analytical support, keeping instruments calibrated and in excellent working condition and performing simple maintenance tasks. This position reports to the Senior R&D Manager - NPD Core Technology and is part of the R&D D epartment, l ocated in Torrance, CA, and will be an on-site role In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Executes sets of experiments according to existing protocols involving surface modification of silica and polymer particles designed by supervisor and/or project lead + Performs physical and chemical testing of chromatographic sorbents, HPLC columns and sample preparation products with limited supervision + Performs routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, and requests and coordinates professional service if necessary The essential requirements of the job include : + Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (or related STEM field) preferred + 3 years of chemistry, biochemistry, analytical, clinical, or diagnostics laboratory experience. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
