Your Role

Lead radar compute architecture development for Aptiv’s future automotive radars.

Key job responsibilities for this role include:

Participate in the development and production of radar sensorsTrade-off embedded system designs, weighing choices for acceleration of radar signal processing and array processing based on cost, performance, and power dissipationPresent studies to technical teams and leadershipLead the selection of hardware components based on top-level radar system requirements and algorithm team inputsInterface with multi-disciplinary product development teams in support of design, integration and test of embedded radar hardware componentsWork with radar simulation teams to create radar simulations that assist in the investigation of radar hardware and algorithm trade-offsWork with the radar systems and embedded DSP teams, SoC developers and external suppliers

Must Haves:

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical degreeStrong familiarity with radar technology, including system architectures, waveforms, antenna types, and radar signal processing5+ years RF /  Radar systems designExpertise in microprocessor/DSP based hardware designsExperience making SoC selections for radar hardwareTeam player - highly motivated, flexible, and well organizedStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent communications skillsAbility to work on site local to LA suburbs

Nice to have:

Phd in EngineeringExperience with automotive radar and automotive radar antenna array designsFamiliarity with radar eval kits based on automotive chipsets (ie TI, NXP, Infineon, etc)
