Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC) is the fastest growing region in Amgen. Now we are hiring a **Senior Regional Security Manager** in **Amgen Singapore Manufacturing (ASM).**

**What you will do**
The Senior Regional Security Manager will be based at the ASM Singapore site and provides strategic planning and direction to the ASM Site and operation aligned both with the Region and the Global Security Centre. The role will provide security responsibilities for the ASM manufacturing site and will provide tactical management guidance and tools to ensure “best practices” are employed to protect the life, health, and safety of Amgen staff, external workers, and visitors as well as assets and intellectual property. This includes development and implementation of risk-based asset protection plans, management of internal and external resources, budgets, integrated security systems, and comprehensive security programs. Additionally, development and implementation of local Emergency Preparedness and Response Programs within the larger global program, with emphasis on command and control of emergency response actions, supervision of response teams, and management of emergency response tools and supplies. As directed by the Regional Security Director, the role may spend up to 10% of the time to support the sites in Singapore and the Southeast Asia Region, supporting physical security projects, risk management, crisis management and emergency management requirements.
**F** **unctions** **(Duties/Accountabilities):**
+ Analyzes multiple information sources to identify security trends. Determines vulnerabilities and recommends cost-effective solutions.
+ Manages the implementation of security processes and programs.
+ Responsible for leadership and management of security staff; including recruiting, hiring, goal setting, development, performance, communication, and retention.
+ Develop and manage budget within area of responsibility.
+ Manages or participates in the development and/or implementation of security policies, standards and procedures. Provides consultation and interpretation of established security policies, programs and practices.
+ Manages and/or leads work focus teams, complex projects, investigations or programs. May function as a liaison to external public safety and governmental agencies.
+ Responsible for conducting or coordinating internal security investigations as advised by the Regional Security Director and at the direction of the Legal and Human Resources departments (e.g., personnel issues, and criminal activity).
+ Implements global product protection standards and procedures and conducts periodic audits including preparation and completion of audit reports and works with client(s) to address any program gaps. Completion of regular access control audits
+ Manages security response to emergency and crisis situations. Manages or participates in the development of emergency response and disaster plans. Works with local public safety and government agencies. Maintains good external networks
+ Writes and prepares reports, programs and management summaries.
+ Manages suppliers and external consultants supporting the mission and goals of Global Security and People Protection program areas.
+ Represent the security function to other departments and senior management and further the Global Security reputation
+ Responsible for aligning with the Global Technical Security Team on the need for new security system design associated with existing Amgen building(s) and all new construction activity. Being cognizant of the matrixed relationship
+ Locally Responsible for the management of the company photo ID, proprietary lock and key and access control programs. The access control responsibilities include visitor/contractor control, all badging processes and the oversight of technical services relating to both installation and maintenance of security hardware and software.
+ Responsible for evaluating all department related services and making improvements as required.

**What we expect of you**
**Qualifications**
+ Doctorate degree and 2 years of corporate security and/or manufacturing security experience OR
+ Master’s degree and 6 years of corporate security and/or manufacturing security experience OR
+ Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of corporate security and/or manufacturing security experience
+ Strong communication (written and verbal) and decision-making skills
+ Ability to work effectively with external government and public safety related agencies and organizations
+ Proven skill in leadership
+ Working knowledge of the principles of executive facilitation
+ Effective interaction in a complex, matrixed team environment, across regions
+ Personal integrity
+ Employment law and legal aspects of security
+ Working knowledge of the practices in protection of sensitive information
+ Technical understanding of PC-based security systems, fire alarm systems and associated technology
+ Familiarity with contract security operations
+ Investigative skills and ability to elicit and document relevant details
+ Knowledge of emergency management
+ Ability to work independently
+ Conflict management skills
+ Fundamental understanding of budgeting and financial tracking
+ Organizational skills
+ Basic computer skills (i.e., report writing, spread sheets, internet research, etc.)
+ Ability to move unaided, across rough / uneven terrain, stairs and other obstacles
