Positions in this job family provide direction and support for institutional admissions and enrollment, academic support services, and student affairs programs. This job family addresses activities related to student academic life and the physical, social, cultural and psychological well-being of students. Typical functions include curriculum planning, academic advising, admissions, financial aid, registrar, housing, psychological counseling, student social programs, minority student affairs, career planning/placement, student union, specialized student services, etc Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required. Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
Experience: 4+ years of related experience at an institution of higher learning. Previous experience with Banner a plus. Job Duties Description of Job Duty Responsible for academic records and individual graduate’s data stored in Banner Student
Information System and other student related management systems.
Assist in ensuring the requirements of the Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is followed as it
affects the release of confidential information contained in student academic records and ancillary
files.
Responsible for issuing official School documents such as transcripts or any other related student
academic document that is processed by the Office of the Registrar.
Responsible for maintaining the student academic records file room and ensuring that the file room is properly secured.
Participates in the certification for state and medical licensure board.
Certifies enrollment verification forms, loan deferment forms, and veteran affairs forms.
Collaborates in planning, developing, coordination and implementation of registration, preregistration, certification of graduation, Convocations, and Commencement.
Provides enrollment data for statistical reports for both in-house and outside state and federal
government agencies to include NSCH, NSLDS, IPEDS, State Medical Education Board and SACS
reports.
Ensures accuracy and timeliness of student academic records data through close coordination with
Admissions, Financial Aid, and academic programs.
Assists in processes for review and updating office policies and procedures manuals, student
handbook, course catalog, course offerings, and faculty/staff assigned to courses for all forms of
registration.
Responsible for classroom assignments in Banner and the EMS reservation system.
