About the Team As part of an AI-native company, this role is a pivotal part of our Legal team, helping Eightfold advance regulatory affairs and public policies related to AI. This role will spend significant time monitoring, and engaging internal and external audiences, regarding AI regulatory development, supporting Eightfold’s compliance with current and future regulations, and formulating and advocating related policy positions. You will have a front-row seat in shaping AI policy frameworks and implementations, and helping develop trust with our customers and partners on AI technologies. About the Role Responsibilities: + Monitor proactively Worldwide AI legislation efforts + Develop internal, customer-facing, and public-facing papers to communicate Eightfold’s positions on new AI laws + Coordinate advocacy efforts to shape emerging laws that impact Eightfold and its customers + Help select and utilize outside consultants or counsel efficiently. + Support Commercial Legal, Sales, Customer Success and other teams on customer/partner conversations and inquiries on AI compliance topics, including negotiation of AI-related obligations + Handle commercial transactions with EMEA clients/prospects independently on as-needed basis + Support Responsible AI/Ethical AI efforts, including working with internal personnel and external auditors on AI risk assessments and governance at Eightfold + Support compliance review and audits of Eightfold’s products and responsible AI practices + Support Eightfold procurement in reviewing AI-powered third party tools used by Eightfold + Support product counseling efforts to ensure compliance with AI laws and promote responsible/ethical AI development. What we Need Qualifications + Demonstrated experiences in regulatory issues. + Demonstrated record of success and interest in shaping policy and communication strategies + Strong grasp of recent promulgated regulations including EU AI Act, and state AI acts in the U.S. + Demonstrated record of customer success, supporting customers and partners on thorny regulatory topics. + Curiosity and passion about Eightfold’s products and services. + Strong and crisp writing skills + Ease of communication in lay-person terms + Experienced with negotiating and reviewing SaaS contracts JD degree from an accredited law school + 8+ years of practicing law Location + Located in Ireland, Germany, or UK We are a team of self-starters who excel in their fields.
