We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Senior Relationship Manager, Corporate Real Estate (CRE)

Responsibilities:

Identifyingfinancially strong, reputable, experienced top tier real estate developers/operators/investors with proven track record and capabilities in riding through the market cyclesand establishing these relationships as well as existing real estate clients of HSBC globally who are investing in Malaysia.The role will have a strong focus on cross-selling transactional banking including other ancillary products as such debt capital markets and global market.The role will potentially have a strong international perspective where HSBC follows client offshore or assists our client offshore investing in Malaysia.The role will have a particular focus on development finance transactions and alternative real estate assets classes.Maintaining a strong and productive network of new business relationships with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery.Building a client portfolio, whilst ensuring focus on credit quality. Managing and developing an existing portfolio. Maintain satisfactory reports with regard to the business processes controls from audit, compliance and relevant regulators. Maintaining a core understanding of each client’s business and the real estate sector.

Preferably at least 8 years’ experience in real estate finance in a combination of banking, corporate finance and/or advisory; in-depth understanding of financial products such as DCM, markets and ancillary banking products. This includes a minimum of 6 years’ experience in managing complex commercial relationships with international needs;Strong experience in both real estate development and investment (syndications, club facilities).Proven experience in Commercial Banking managing institutional and large corporate commercial real estate clients, and maintaining strong relationships with CEOs, CFOs, and Group Treasurers;Strong financial and project modelling skills;In-depth understanding of real estate markets and valuation methodology;Strong experience with finance documentation and negotiation;In-depth analytical skills with a strong commercial orientation and focus on credit quality;Ability to build strong and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders;Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and autonomously;To consistently meet and exceed customer expectations through superior customer service.Strong skills and experience in undertaking end to end credit underwriting process; negotiating appropriate loan terms and covenants to mitigate risks; monitoring loan portfolio effectively detecting early signs of weakness.
