Job Description

Your challenge

Mid-level reliability engineer with medical technology experience capable of working cross-functionally and independently.  Must be able to run the reliability program on a product with minimal oversight.  Needs have a background in reliability engineering, statistics, and hardware testing.

Please note: Due to the consolidation of our sites, this role will start at the Bakery Square office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and will move to another site in the greater Pittsburgh area by the end of the year. This change will bring our teams in western Pennsylvania closer together to remain competitive and committed to our customers, clinicians, and patients and create value with sustainable impact. 

Your role:

Work cross-functionally to develop testing (life, ALT, HALT, HASS, Durability, etc.) to ensure that new products meet all requirements. Work collaboratively with the reliability team to develop and improve the reliability program to improve the success of all products.  Work with Manufacturing to evaluate and qualify new technology and new processes implemented in manufacturing. Assist engineering teams reducing warranty claims and improving customer satisfaction by leading reliability efforts on problem identification, root cause analysis, corrective action development, and resolution verification. Participate in product design and reliability reviews during product development to ensure robustness of product design and manufacturing processes. Perform statistical data analysis, regression modeling, Monte Carlo, Weibull Analysis, hazard analysis, reliability growth assessment and prediction, target setting, warranty trend analysis and spending forecast for new products. Perform Design FMEAs on all new products and recommend design changes to improve product reliability.

You're the right fit if:

Have a minimum of 5 years of experience with reliability testing, working with product engineering to develop reliability requirements, improving a reliability program, and performing appropriate analyses to ensure that products meet all the requirements.Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical preferred).Be familiar with software tools (i.e. LabView, Arduino, etc.)Strong understanding of medical device industry regulatory requirements including ISO Standards (ISO 13485 and ISO 14971), EUMDR, IEC 62304, IEC 60601, IEC 62366.Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Preferred and Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) PreferredYou must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
