About the Role
Provide reliability engineering support to operational facilities by implementing the Defect Elimination program, developing and applying reliability analytics, conducting operational RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) modeling, coordinating and supporting the development and execution of reliability improvement plans, and facilitating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.

Skills and Experience
Over 10 years of experience in reliability engineering. Preference for oil and gas industry experience, but open to other relevant backgrounds. Skilled Reliability Data Analyst - Proficient in mining data from company databases and performing reliability analysis to generate actionable outcomes. Strong understanding of Hydrocarbon accounting approach, Construction of CMMS equipment failure records, Failure rate estimation and failure distributions for production and safety-critical equipment. Bad Actor Identification - Able to identify bad actors across a wide range of equipment types using data from multiple sources. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Facilitator- Experienced in facilitating RCA with a focus on Defect Elimination and Reliability Improvement programs. Recognizes common mode and common cause failures, including human factors. Reliability System Modelling - Skilled in Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) modelling. Knowledgeable in Monte Carlo simulation and Markov Analysis, the impact of failure finding and PdM task intervals on system reliability. Reliability in Maintenance Engineering - Experienced in applying reliability principles within oil and gas operations. Strong knowledge of RCM, PMO, FMECA, RBI, and SIL methodologies. Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) techniques. Safety Critical Elements, Performance Standards, and Assurance Tasks. Company Risk Assessment Matrix. Standards and Compliance - Working knowledge of external standards including ISO14224, ISO20815, ISO/TR12489. Familiar with reliability measurement and KPIs. Process Safety and Asset Integrity Management- Awareness of Process Safety and Asset Integrity Management (AIM) in oil and gas operations. Understanding of Management of Change processes.
Responsibilities
Capable of coordinating and enhancing Defect Elimination programs to achieve operational improvements. Extensive knowledge of reliability-based methodologies, assessment techniques, and analytics. Proficient in facilitating Root Cause Analysis (RCA), supporting production teams using the 5 Whys method, and guiding engineering teams through structured approaches like PROACT to ensure thorough and consistent investigations of production events, equipment failures, and operational challenges. Skilled in Reliability Analytics, with the ability to develop and deploy tools and workflows for identifying bad actors, measuring reliability, and building an Equipment Failure Data library. Tools include: Production Analytics (Energy Components) Measurement Document Analytics (SAP) Reliability Dashboards (PI System Explorer) Notification Reliability Coding (SAP Master Data) Experienced reliability practitioner with the ability to configure and interpret outputs from RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) models. Strong understanding of the Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) process and the integration of reliability analytics into maintenance strategies. Solid working knowledge of equipment used in offshore and LNG oil and gas operations. Competent in applying project management principles to the execution of Reliability Improvement Plans and their associated objectives.
