Job Title: Senior Reliability Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in reducing lead times for burn-in ovens within military standards, specifically within the medical device or related fields. This role involves updating and implementing a new burn-in process to replace dated processes, with the goal of significantly decreasing or eliminating the current burn-in process.

ResponsibilitiesWork to decrease/eliminate the burn-in process currently in place.Update and implement a new burn-in process, ensuring compliance with military and FDA standards.Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and quality assurance.Lay out a comprehensive plan to drive conversations, influence change, and develop new product BOMs.Figure out the testing path and create a plan for implementation.Qualify components versus production runs for reliability.Understand and apply burn-in applications (static voltage) and dynamic burn-in industry standards to improve reliability.Ensure all processes comply with medical device and FDA regulations.Essential SkillsProven experience in reducing lead times within the burn-in process, specifically in the medical device or related fields.Strong background in reliability engineering and experience with burn-in processes.Knowledge of military standards for burn-in components.Expertise in both static voltage and dynamic burn-in applications.Ability to develop and implement plans to qualify components and improve reliability.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.Understanding of FDA regulations and compliance requirements for medical devices.Additional Skills & QualificationsHas successfully reduced burn-in process times to 24 hours or less.Experienced in working with burn-in processes and mill processes that are dated.Capable of developing a clear path to reduce or eliminate burn-in hours within six months.Able to advise and help lay out a five-year plan for reliability improvements.Work Environment

On-site at the Scottsdale location working directly with the engineering and operations team. Business professional/casual attire is expected. The work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling a 40-hour work week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $84.00
