A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Reliability & Systems Engineer. Reporting to the Reliability & Systems Lead, the Senior Reliability & Systems Engineer will play a key leadership role in developing and managing a site equipment reliability program & systems that support the support the key product franchises for the site. The role will Lead PSM elements for Engineering, act as Engineering technical SME for equipment change control and develop maintenance systems standards that will optimize existing maintenance program effectiveness and ensure capital project installations handovers are optimized. The role will work with all stakeholders across the site, with Global CoEs and other sites.
What you will do:
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:
Be a key member and SME on Global COE team developing & rolling out company technical standards and work practice/PM standards that deliver efficiency, reduced cost and increased performance in the Engineering space across the company. Deploy at the site and support other sites on deployment.Develop multi-year Reliability roadmap and execution for the site with close collaboration/partnership with key cross-functional stakeholders and the global CoE on industry best practices.Lead reliability initiatives through improvement such as Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to identify opportunities to advance planned and predictive replacement & condition-based monitoring vs reactive replacement using existing & developing/emerging technologies.Lead RBAM (Risk Based Assessment Management) assessments and manage the site RBAM program. Act as the primary contact with the division asset and reliability management CoE in implementing company and divisional reliability programs.Work with large capital projects to co-ordinate the implementation of Maintenance Systems (equipment registrations, preventative maintenance routines, spares on the site CMMS & engineering handover documentation) for new facilities & installations at the Site.Develop & own standards for site on equipment standardization and maintenance/calibrations routes that deliver productivity improvements and cost reduction as well as improved equipment performance.Act as Engineering SME for the site Process Safety Management Program. Develop and Lead Site Mechanical Integrity program. Act as site PRD Co-Ordinator and SME for the site for Engineering.Act as Engineering SME signoff on site equipment change control system and the specification, design for reliability and installation of new plant and equipment site. Act as SME for Equipment Change control, equipment functional equivalency assessments for MRO and Maintenance Changes.Develop and lead a Root Cause Failure Analysis Program to reduce general equipment breakdowns and support maintenance personnel to conduct real time Root Cause Analysis, Be high proficient 8-step practitioner and coach.Establish & manage reliability KPIs work planning metrics/KPI's to monitor equipment performance & improvement e.g. PM/CM ratio, MTBF, MTTR, etc. Employee data analytics and predictive maintenance techniques to ensure best business outcome through the reliability program implementation.What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
3rd level qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline (e.g. Bachelor Degree) or trade equivalent with 8-10 years relevant experience in a regulated environment with 5 years in a reliability engineering role.Excellent understanding of Equipment Preventative Maintenance Systems.SME level understanding of equipment reliability techniques such as RCM, 8-step, RBAM, FMECA and Root Cause Failure Analysis.SME Knowledge of predictive and condition-monitoring maintenance techniques and their applicationsProcess Operation KnowledgeKnowledge of the site CMMS and other engineering systemsProject management SkillsGood understanding of equipment in an Drug Product / Substance environmentSafety, GMP, Environmental and Validation Policies and ProceduresKnowledge of Engineering Standards - Irish, European and International Codes, Standards and Practices.Understanding of key business performance measures related to functional, quality, safety and cost issues.Strong Communication Skills, Written, Oral and PresentationPlanning & Organizing SkillsStrong leadership and influence skills to select, develop, and manage internal and external staff and teams in cross-functional environments.Rapid & Disciplined Decision MakingTo integrate ideas and collaborate with others.Demonstrated ability to build strong business systems and standard work to sustain themGood networking skills both within organization and with industry peersTo ensure team buy-in and consensus on critical decisions.As a company, we are committed to ‘Inventing for Life’ in all that we do.
