Senior Reporting & Data Analyst
Overview JOB SUMMARY: As a Senior Reporting & Data Analyst, you will lead the development and execution of governance and standardization strategies for reporting and data integration processes across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity by implementing controls, managing reporting tools, and establishing streamlined processes for report requests, design, and delivery. The position also oversees data integration governance, fostering secure and efficient synchronization across systems, while maintaining data accuracy, scalability, and compliance with organizational policies. Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to optimize reporting and integration workflows, empowering users with self-service tools and training, and documenting processes to support scalability, sustainability, and performance improvement. In addition, this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and streamline manual processes, research, and prioritize tools or technologies for efficiency improvements, and lead system upgrades to align with organizational goals and maximize ROI. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reporting Develop and execute a plan to implement controls and governance over current reporting tools to ensure data integrity and standardization across the organization. Establish a standardized process for handling reporting requests, including intake, prioritization, and approval for new and modified reports. Conduct a comprehensive inventory of current reports, dashboards, and manual analyses to identify redundancies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Design and maintain standardized, user-friendly reports and dashboards, incorporating visualization best practices to enhance usability and insights. Create a feedback loop with end-users to evaluate the performance and relevance of deployed reports, ensuring they align with evolving needs. Explore and promote self-service reporting tools and user training programs to empower teams to generate routine reports independently. Data Integration Develop and implement governance controls for data integration tools, ensuring consistency, security, and alignment with organizational policies. Responsible to ensure that data access is within controls / security access (least rights privilege) as defined by the company. Design a clear and efficient process for handling data-related assistance requests, fostering transparency and prioritization. Gather and document integration requirements across the organization, including an assessment of current and planned integrations, data lakes, and workflows. Collaborate with developers to create and maintain scalable data integration processes, ensuring seamless synchronization across multiple systems. Oversee data backfill, import processing, and database hygiene, maintaining accuracy, accessibility, and scalability for data systems. Establish and track performance metrics for integration processes, such as success rates, processing time, and error resolution, to ensure ongoing optimization. Document integration workflows and maintain a knowledge base to support sustainability and scalability. Complete project documentation, such as data mapping documents, user acceptance test scenarios, and end-user training documentation. Participate in all tasks related to data integration, feature testing, solution testing, and user acceptance testing. Maintain data integrations, including providing escalation support for help desk issues related to reporting and data. Analyst Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and document manual, time-consuming processes. Research and evaluate potential tools or technologies to improve systems, creating cost-benefit analyses to prioritize solutions with the highest ROI. Lead and coordinate system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring alignment with cross-functional requirements and long-term business objectives. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles, with a focus on governance and process optimization. Proven experience managing and optimizing reporting systems, dashboards, and data integration processes. Experience with data governance practices and implementing controls for data integrity and security. Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms. Experience with NetSuite, Dynamics CRM is a plus. Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing data from relational databases. Knowledge of data integration workflows and tools like APIs, data lakes, and cloud-based data systems. Understanding of data governance frameworks and principles, including compliance with security and privacy standards. Must have a valid state driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and auto insurance. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work for this role is performed in a home office and/or professional office and interacts with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.  Telecommuters are expected to have sufficient home office space that appears neat, organized and professional when on video meetings.
