Senior Representative, Commercial Agreements (Term Opportunity - 13 months)

What you can expect from this position:

Reporting to the Manager, Ground Transportation and Commercial Agreements you will develop and recommend revenue generation opportunities in the transportation sector. This role involves managing new and continuing business opportunities for small, medium, and large-sized transportation operators, licenses, and contracts. The Senior Representative will prepare tender and proposal documents, conduct requests for proposals, and participate in public tenders.

As Senior Representative, Commercial Development, you will:

Develop and recommend new revenue-generating opportunities in transportation Prepare strategies and discuss details with GTAA staff and potential tenants Evaluate and recommend awarding of contracts Research and recommend rents and rental rates by comparing other North American airports and GTA locations Negotiate leases, licenses, and contracts Prepare information and presentations for review and approval by Legal and senior management Review and recommend tenant requests for changes to agreement terms Analyze and recommend curb allocations and space prioritization for transportation operators and tenants Develop and coordinate surveys and market research, and present findings to senior management Prepare business plans, revenue forecasts, budgets, and monthly variance analysis reports

This unionized position has an hourly wage of $44.63, based on a 37.5-hour work week. If you are the selected candidate, you must be available to commence the duties of the position once a selection decision has been made. As part of the competitive process, you will be required to complete a practical test. 

This is the role for you, if you have:

Post-Secondary school diploma or degree or combination of education, training and/or experience in business administration, commercial property management and/or other related field Minimum 5 years’ experience in business administration, retail marketing, commercial lease management or equivalent, preferably in an airport environment, which also includes experience in overseeing the work of consultants and contractors, or an acceptable combination education and experience 2 (two) or more years work experience managing the acquisition and retention of commercial agreements, preferred CRM certification and power user of CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics), preferred Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance

Knowledge and skills you bring, that set-you up for success:

Knowledge of airport operations and how they relate to ground transportation and other airport concession management and development activity at the airport Knowledge of relevant real property, environmental and aeronautical legislation and regulations Knowledge of the transportation and parking industries in relation to Parking Management Systems, Automated Vehicle Identification Systems and related technology, and Revenue Generation Knowledge of computer software including word processing, spreadsheets for statistical analysis, project management, customer relationship management (CRM) and data management/business intelligence Knowledge of business writing and problem-solving skills Knowledge of industry policies (Acts) and GTAA policies, procedures and practices related to transportation and revenue generation Knowledge of negotiation strategies, business plans and strategies and contract terms and conditions Knowledge of revenue information and data analysis, plus the ability to develop programs, negotiate contracts and anticipate issues Strong analytical and financial skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders Knowledge of the transportation industry and airport operations is an asset
