Senior Research Analyst

FleishmanHillard, a leading global communications agency, has an immediate opening for a hands-on, self-starting Senior Research Analyst to join our Manila Group. This position provides a fantastic opportunity for an organized and seasoned professional with a strong passion for communications to work in a fast-paced environment with collaborative teams for our local and global clients. In addition, our expertise is collecting and analyzing data that help clients fuel powerful positioning programs and connect and engage with their audiences to achieve desired goals. We focus our research in three areas: 

Media analysis and competitive Intelligence: media audits, landscape analysis, marketplace competitiveness  Analytics and impact measurement: traditional, social and digital analytics and measurement to demonstrate performance impact  Primary research: online surveys, brand and communications research, online communities, ethnography, traditional and web-based focus groups 

 

What You’ll Do  

Responsibilities Include: 

Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and relevant media landscapes. Collect and analyze data from various sources to develop insights that inform strategic communication plans and PR campaigns. Collaborate with account teams to provide research support and assist in developing effective messaging strategies. Monitor media coverage and social media trends to identify opportunities and risks for clients. Prepare detailed reports and presentations that communicate research findings and recommendations clearly and effectively. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new research methodologies to enhance the agency's capabilities. Knowledge on utilizing data and analytics platforms like Talkwalker, iSentia, Meltwater, (insert other tools).Consult with external clients and recommend research designs that address their needs and align with business objectives. Write research proposals and work with research vendors to develop budget estimates. Create primary research instruments including survey questionnaires and focus group discussion guides and work with clients on the review and approval process. Analyze data, write research reports, and deliver oral research presentations of research findings and conclusions. Recommend communications solutions based on the research results. Participate in integrated research and analytics assignments, which include the use of social and traditional media monitoring and analytics results. Collaborate with internal practice group and industry sector leads to deploy the best research to ensure client success. 

Experience Requirements: 

Five or more years of experience across a broad range of research categories and models. Bachelor’s degree is required in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field; master’s degree is preferred. Research specialist experienced in all facets of quantitative and qualitative research (e.g., sample and survey design, focus group moderation). Experience in customer surveys, research, and analysis, as well as measurement principles in consumer research. Proficiency in utilizing research tools, data analytics software, and industry databases. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven analytical and deductive reasoning skills; able to translate findings into meaningful positioning strategies. Results-focused approach and commitment to consistently meeting and exceeding the highest-quality standards of client service. Proven experience in research analysis, preferably in a PR agency or communications environment. Bachelor’s degree is required in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field; master’s degree is preferred. Capable of and confident in giving presentations to a variety of audiences.
