Senior Research Analyst - Secret (TS/SCI eligible)

WANTED: Experienced Senior Research Analyst to spearhead the technical literacy of critical DOD technology areas for the Joint Acquisition Protection and Exploitation Cell (JAPEC) within DOD’s OUSD Research & Engineering (R&E) sector. 

As a Senior Research Analyst:

Understand and relay the scope, status and ecosystem of two or more DOD critical technology areas; become the go-to expert in these elected domains in alignment with the DOD mission.  Serve as an integrator of classified intelligence products and open-source research literature to inform next steps and key operations of DOD’s partner organizations.  Research cutting edge science as it relates to intelligence reporting, acting to synthesize a comprehensive view for JAPEC leadership.  Proactively identify breakthrough technology for novel or sustained military systems, as well as the potential to technology convergence.  Collaborate across multiple interagency teams to fortify America’s approach to safeguarding science and next generation technology.  Crosswalk adversary technology status with our nation’s current research cadence and progress.

A week in the life as a Senior Research Analyst:

Interface daily with government sponsors.  Post on-site with an interdisciplinary team of experts that collectively implement and recommend security features for the nation’s most pertinent military technology.  Conduct in-depth technical and security reviews through literature research and data assessments.  Devise new approaches, schema and messaging around technology protection and potential for exploitation.  Access secure networks to synchronize the government’s approach to technology protection and sharing best practices.  Synthesize risk managing and educational material for intelligence, security, academia and government personnel on key data and technologies.  Lead development of complex gap analyses and risk matrices for high value dual use or military technologies.
