(Senior) Research Associate, Histology - Perm - Palo Alto, CA

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Research Associate, Histology to join an innovative biotech team. This hands-on role will provide technical histology support for multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be highly involved in the day-to-day histology operations, supporting research activities under the supervision of a Scientist and Histology Hub Lead.

Skills & Requirements:

Degree in Biological Science or a related discipline.Practical experience with standard histology techniques in a research environment.Extensive knowledge in the processing of human and laboratory animal tissues.Knowledge and experience of immunohistochemistry techniques and other methods of tissue-based expression analysis. e.g. in-situ hybridization.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask across multiple projects.Highly organized and self-motivated.

The (Senior) Research Associate, Histology's responsibilities will be:

Manage day-to-day histology operations, including set-up and breakdown of routine histology equipment.Perform microtomy, cryotomy, embedding, manual routine and special histological stains.Support research activities under the supervision of a Scientist and Histology Hub Lead.Maintain accurate records in inventory and sample tracking software systems.Operate laboratory equipment, prepare reagents, perform experimental procedures, record and consolidate research data.Follow safe laboratory procedures set by the company.

Compensation:

USD 85 000.00 - 90000.00
