Salary Range: $70-110k base salary range, depending on experience and qualifications

As a Senior Research Associate, you will be a key contributor in a role that is 50-75% lab-based, focusing on the development and enhancement of product processes. Your efforts will support process optimization in product development and manufacturing, aiming to increase quality, reproducibility, and efficiency while reducing failure rates and redundancies. You will also play a significant role in minimizing back-order times, improving documentation standards, and ensuring smooth inter-departmental data transfers. This position offers the opportunity to serve as an escalation point for critical post-launch issues in manufacturing, QC, and antibody equivalences, as well as customer-related inquiries, with a focus on product and process troubleshooting and improvement. Primary projects will relate to the Simple Plex product category. 

Key Responsibilities: 

·       Engage collaboratively with teams across Quality, Reagent Manufacturing, Sales, Field Scientists, and our customer base, both internally and externally. 

·       Investigate and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner, leveraging remote support as needed. 

·       Conduct research to compile data and propose new project initiatives, utilizing batch records and current literature to inform recommendations. 

·       Apply critical thinking and a structured approach in experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving. 

·       Effectively communicate complex findings to diverse audiences, representing the Simple Plex Product Support team in cross-functional discussions. 

·       Lead and participate in impactful projects with broad scope, supporting quality improvement and strategic initiatives. 

·       Independently perform troubleshooting activities with minimal supervision, applying extensive product knowledge to identify solutions. 

·       Contribute to quality compliance with precise case documentation and adherence to Quality Management System procedures. 

·       Represent Technical Support on cross-functional projects, communicating key updates back to your team. 

·       Follow SOPs, complete required training promptly, and adhere to all safety, quality, and training regulations. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

·       Hands-on experience with immunoassays such as ELISA, MSD, or Luminex is required. 

·       Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: 

o   Diagnostic assays 

o   Laboratory analytical or diagnostic equipment, medical devices, and related software 

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required (experience with R for data analysis is a plus). 

·       Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze detailed data on customer concerns. 

·       Ability to excel in a dynamic environment, independently prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects to meet deadlines. 

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to a variety of teams and audiences. 

·       Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. 

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a strategic and fast-paced environment. 

·       Must stay current with trends in the field of expertise. 

Education and Experience: 

·       Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 

·       Master’s degree in a related field with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
