We are looking for a Senior Research Director to join our high performing Research & Analytics team, ensuring continuity on key clients and leading research-driven strategy across the agency. Beyond client delivery, this role will drive innovation in our analytics approach, support new business growth, and develop junior talent.
This is a career-defining leadership role for someone ready to take the next step in PR analytics. What you'll do:
Clients: Elevate the role of research and analytics in PR campaigns by turning data into actionable insights that shape strategy, storytelling, and reputation management. Strategic Execution: Strengthen the integration of data and insights into the agency’s wider work, making analytics a core part of decision-making across teams. Business Development: Support business development by using analytics to enhance pitches, identify growth opportunities, and showcase the value of PR through measurable outcomes. People Focus: Mentor and upskill the team, fostering a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and strategic thinking to keep the agency at the forefront of research and analytics.What we're looking for:
PR Expertise: Strong commercial experience gained agency-side is essential, ideally within a communications, PR, or marketing agency. Ideally with cross-category experience, particularly FMCG or from research firms, media agencies, or digital insights consultancies Technical skills: Extensive digital research expertise – including social/media listening, audience profiling, and (ideally) SEO experience. Key platforms include TalkWalker, Cision, GWI, Semrush, YouScan, relative insight, with proven experience in applying digital insights to PR and strategic decision-making. Client handling: Strong account leadership and client management experience, including proposal development, project scoping, and final delivery. Commercial acumen: Experience with pricing, scoping projects, and demonstrating measurable business impact. Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a team environment, partnering with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to drive success. Passion for DE&I: You understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion and are eager to contribute to a workplace where everyone's voice is heard and valued, playing a pivotal role in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
