Senior Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Senior Research Scientist with extensive knowledge in the clinical pharmacology and pharmacokinetics preferably in special populations such as pregnant women. Candidate is required to have knowledge and skills in performing invitro, animal and clinical studies. The candidate should be able to develop and validate assay methods for quantifying drug and metabolite concentrations in various biological matrices using HPLC, UPLC-Ms/Ms, perform non compartmental and compartmental pharmacokinetic analysis of data collected using leading software such as Phoenix, apply physiologically based modelling using Simcyp, Gastroplus, and Non-MEM. Candidate will prepare research manuscripts, research proposals and grant applications, and presentations based on research results and train students, junior lab members, and/or research technicians.

Preferred experience and qualifications:

PhD with pharmaceutical sciences or related field. Minimum 5 years of research experience in clinical pharmacology. Experience in managing data collected from invitro, preclinical and clinical studies. Advanced training in modelling and simulation in preferred.

Serves as subject matter expert and conducts independent scientific research projects from inception to presentation. Prepares and crafts various complex documentations of research results into manuscripts, proposals, grant applications, and presentations. Trains undergraduates, junior lab members, and research technicians. Manages laboratory policies and coordinates high-level work and project development in collaboration with other specialists.

• Perform a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures.
• Develop, validate, perform and oversee quantitative analysis of clinical study samples using HPLC, UPLC-Ms/Ms etc.
• Perform pharmacokinetic analysis of data collected using leading software such as Phoenix, Simcyp, Gastroplus, Non-MEM etc.
• Develops documentation for publication, crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.
• Mentor undergraduates, junior lab members, and/or research technicians.
• Oversees supply management, operate and properly maintain equipment.
• Maintains the overall inventory of clinical samples. Prepares summary and individual reports for the lab directors and study PI’s
• Make contributions to grant proposal writing.
